Like other major cities, the Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) is seeing a decline in student enrollment and must close schools to cut costs. We plan to repurpose this closed school site to benefit the Oakland community by offering discounted apartments to OUSD employees, with rent not exceeding 30% of their salary.

This TRANSFORMATION, located just a mile from the Laurel Residential District, will help employees live close to work and enhance their ability to serve their students.

 

The project development will consist:

  • 56 Apartments:

    • 24 1-Bedroom units. (515- 550 sqft)

    • 24 2-Bedroom units (725 -800 sqft)

    • 8 3-Bedroom units (1052-1060 sqft)

  • 34 Parking Spaces

Total cost is $22,106,143
